I just fished this out of my Junk Folder. It's a "Thank you" for my monthly donation. Is "Physician Heal Thyself" appropriate here?
I'm rich! I'm rich! And I've never even BEEN to Australia!
Hold on a 'sec while I click on the link.
Look what I found while researching Clairemont's Early Years!
Yep -- It's Candy Mann from Crawford's Class of '67. It looks like
her parents were THIS close to naming her Candy Kane Mann. Sammy
Davis would have loved it. (He sang, "The Candy Man Can"). Click

This postcard is bouncing all over the internet, most recently on
a California History Facebook site. That's Julie Curren, whose
Uncle Terry started Over-The-Line, talking to me at my regular
perch on the seawall at the foot of Reed Street in Pacific Beach.
(Actually, it's Reed AVENUE, but Reed Street is much more
alliterative, as Mrs. Tidwell would have pointed out). That
little black dot on the very left is the tip (and shadow) of my
brown Oxford. Memory has it that the two blondes, brushing each
others hair, were Crawford coeds. I'm clueless as to a date.
1973?
Here's an interesting aerial of Old Town, circa 1925. Hey, that
would be 100 years ago. Click HERE

Bob Schriebman has passed. He often was in touch, but used his
company email address, and it was someone at the firm that let me
know of his demise. I asked if they could give me any details or
point me to an on-line obituary. Their answer, "No". Sayonara
Bob.
Jane passed away June 21st. There will be a Memorial Service for
her tomorrow, August 9th from 11 AM to 1 PM at Featheringill
Mortuary, 6322 El Cajon Blvd.
(I'll tell my Wally Featheringill joke another time)
