For people who attended Crawford High School or would have attended if they hadn't
moved -- or just have fond memories of San Diego in the '40s, '50s and '60s.

October 24, 2014

IT’S PICTCH-BLACK AND COOL in Pacific Beach.  I’m pretty sure I’ve got nothing to do today — and all day to do it.

I spent two nights at the King’s Inn last week while my house was being fumigated.  Guess who else was staying at the hotel?

John Yeager ‘63 and Patrick Dewey ‘73 have subscribed to the quarterly, 12-page alumni newsletter.  Thanks guys.

Click HERE to check out the KCBQ Top 40 List for October 24, 1965.  Gee, that’s almost 50 years ago, and the Rolling Stones had the #1 Hit.

I’ve posted a couple of photos Adare McAllister took on Black Mountain Road in April 1966.  Perhaps you can help me figure out where it would be today.  Click HERE to check them out.

I recently came across a Facebook video entitled The Day It Snowed in San Diego.  The person who posted it didn’t know the address, but noted the Chollas tower in the background.  I found the video on YouTube and learned that the address was 3415 Rowe Street, which is just off Streamview, near College.  Click HERE to take a gander.  Maybe you’ll know the lady on the porch.

Here’s the Crawford Pacer for February 19, 1970, the final submission from Ed Schoenberg.  He also sends along an explanation for the missing articles in this, and two previous contributions.  Click HERE to read all about it.
