For people who attended Crawford High School or would have attended if they hadn't
moved -- or just have fond memories of San Diego in the '40s, '50s and '60s.

Check out the Crawford High web site.

James Knight Cooper '63 wondered if I had an email address for his classmate Mike Miller.  He'd promised to send this photo of Mike at Camp Palomar if he ever found it.  He didn't specifically tell me I COULDN'T share it with you all.

Gary Mitrovich posted this photo of an Auto Camp on his East San Diego Facebook page, noting that Auto Camps were the precursors to motels and were usually found on major highways.  This one was on University Avenue just east of 54th.  Gary says some of the Eucalyptus trees remain.  I've included a screen shot from Google Street view.  An aerial shot would reveal Crawford High just over the horizon.

Donna (it says Dohna in the yearbook) Gregston '68 passed away a year ago, although I can't find an on-line obituary.  Her friends are holding a Memorial Service for her this Saturday, 3 PM, at Moonlight State Beach in Encinitas.
