My grandmother came to visit our Navy family in Long Beach in
1947 and took me to have this picture taken.  I shared it recently
on the internet, where some nice soul colorized it and sent it
back.  If I'd stayed this cute I might have actually been invited
      to parties at Crawford.

Come and GET me Coppers -- but the prison bus better have
      wheelchair access!

This isn't even in San Diego, but I couldn't resist all those '54
Chevies, plus a '53, plus a Coupe that might be a '49.  I have NO
idea what that is on the left.  By the way, this was taken in
Silver Lake, which I believe is a suburb of Los Angeles.

I just came across a nice image of what our Navy family referred
to as the USS Neversail.  Click HERE
for an enlargement and some fascinating Navy trivia.

Guess what? Some Bozo clicked on the Naked Ladies link, gave me some grief, and -- worst of all -- said "Nobody wants to see that kind of stuff first thing in the morning." I'm betting Boy Scout Troop 29, perched around their campfire, would beg to differ. Sorry, ladies, I'm not sure at what age men become sexual perverts, but it's pretty young. But, there's good news. Stan Fauletter's grandpa was an electrician who helped build Zoro Gardens and Stan shares three of the cards he was issued. Click HERE to check them out. The Ben Franklin quote is also Stan's Donn Dufford, who worked with me on the Pacer, thought he recognized his mother in the photo. I backed him up. I recognized her as well. (If you don't have a good sense of humor, I'm not sure I want you reading my stuff)
I used to have a Colt News page, back when my classmates were
healthy and not appearing on the Obituary Page.  I continue to
come across news items from Crawford's early years as I do
research for Clairemont's upcoming 75th Birthday Party.  I'll
share them with you on the revived Colt News Page.  I'm up to
      September of 1958.  Click HERE
to read about the year Crawford had a Senior Play, but no
      Seniors.
