Did you ever come out into the living room as a kid and find your
      pet Goldfish floating upside down?

Looks like Doonesbury has been around so long that Mike Doonesbury might need hearing aids. It hits close to home. Click HERE to see the comic strip enlarged.

The “Cows on the Beach” photo by Herbert Fitch was especially
appreciated by one member of Crawford’s Class of ’66.  Turns out
Doug Fitch is Herbert’s grandson, and the son of Dave Fitch, whose
company I enjoyed when visiting Nelson Photos in Little Italy.

Guess what George Sorensen found in Rickerall, Oregon last Sunday? Click HERE for the answer.
I posted this photo of Art Huebner's Texaco station at the
northeast corner of Park and El Cajon a few years back.  I've
added three photos that show the corner's development over the
years.  I hope your sitting down.  Click HERE
and be amazed -- or depressed.

Iconic photos are the best of the best, like the shot of the flag raising on Mt. Surabachi. That's how I feel about this picture of the late, lamented Maynard's Club, replaced by See the Sea condos at the foot of Garnet Avenue in Pacific Beach. It was my hangout in the late '60s.
