Turns out it was just 65 short years ago tomorrow -- November 8,
1960 -- that John Kennedy became our 35th President.
Apparently that was the first year that Dixville Notch, New Hampshire decided to open the polls at midnight and be the first folks in America to cast their ballots.

Here's the best El Cortez shot ever, and a pretty new one. I've added it to the El Cortez Page, but mostly I wanted an excuse to share the response I got from Michael Armstrong '67, who said "I got my start at El Cortez." I assumed he meant he was a valet, or bus boy, or waiter. Turns out what he meant was his mother and father first laid eyes on one another at the El Cortez. I'll let you take it from there.
