For people who attended Crawford High School or would have attended if they hadn't
moved -- or just have fond memories of San Diego in the '40s, '50s and '60s.

I trust you got YOUR clocks set ahead.

I'm not sure what drew me to this Amazon Prime show, but it turns out Dave Stevens was a world-class cartoonist who lived in San Diego for a while and died young from leukemia.  This film shows a lot of his work, interspersed with interviews of fellow artists who knew him, including our own Scott Shaw! '68.  Check it out if you can.

Dave Kiley, who was still pedaling a Big Wheel in the family driveway when I was trying to impress the chicks at Oscar’s in my family hand-me-down ’52 Ford with Pep Boys Mickey Mouse White Sidewalls, let me know that the Hamburger House was on Menlo and El Cajon and — in fact — Oscar’s was on Euclid and El Cajon.  Dave, a ’72 Colt, even forwarded a link to back up his claim.  He didn’t read the fine print. The link was posted by some guy named John Fry (did that RHYME?).  Click HERE and enjoy.

I thought for sure we'd seen this Mission Valley photo before, but apparently not.  I spent some time this past week trying gather all my Mission Valley photos on one page.  Click HERE and see what you think.
