That's right -- I turned 82 last week. The card above made me blow milk out of my nose. The card below, hand-crafted by Dietra Anderson Davis '62, arrived by snail-mail on my birthday made my heart go pitter-pat. Dietra's looking GOOD -- or maybe the photo was taken a while back.
As God is my witness the cartoon above showed up on the Far Side
page the day they fumigated my room here at Wrinkle World. Carlos
cracked up, then sent it back to the Terminix Mother Ship. They
probably have seen it before.
A 1962 San Diego Union piece I came across while doing my
Clairemont History research. I think Mr. Press was an
administrator at Horace Mann and later married my classmate Cheryl
Donk. (I thought she was cute, too)
This was from 1961.
