For people who attended Crawford High School or would have attended if they hadn't
moved -- or just have fond memories of San Diego in the '40s, '50s and '60s.

Check out the Crawford High web site.

Can it get any better?  Bill Ross sends a two-minute color video of his sister Carole '60 at Monte Hall's Playland, 7380 El Cajon Blvd., taken in 1947.  Click HERE and grab the reins.

I found an obituary for Monte Hall and added it to the Monty Hall Page.  Click HERE to take a look.

Bill Ross '65 shares his 1959 Oak Park Elementary School Graduation Program and some snapshots.  Click HERE to take a look.

I've added a photo of Bill Grantham '68 to the Colts in the Military Page.  Click HERE for an enlargement and caption.

Michael Tucker ’60 passed away December 20, 2021 after a long and hard-fought battle with lung cancer.  In lieu of flowers, spend extra time with your family or take a bike ride in his memory.  “The time is never right. The heart is never ready.”

Remember when Mom used to put a pencil mark on the door jamb as you grew up?  That was then, this is now.

Jenny Dominique shared a photo of her mother, Jeannette Gurling '59.  Click HERE for an enlargement.

Rolfe Pope '62 and Paulo Mamede '61, and their wives, met for dinner this week in Rio de Janeiro.  Click HERE for a larger photo.

Bill Ross '65 shares snapshots from the 1965 Senior Prom.  Click HERE to take a look.

Gil Tisnado shares three photos from his days as a regular on Monty Hall's Tiny Town Ranch.  Click HERE to take a look.

It's a coincidence -- I think -- that the Serra Museum was in the background of a photo we featured last week and, this week, this great 1930 Walter Averett shot popped up on Facebook.  Click HERE to see it enlarged.

Norm Urquhart ’60 passed away July 8, 2021.  He and his brother Bob were early members of the Prowlers car club, and Norm‘s green pick up truck was featured in one of the Crawford newspapers. He and Bob owned Urquhart Brothers Motorcycle Repair in El Cajon.  After their shop was sold, he went into landscaping.  He lived off Winter Gardens Boulevard in Lakeside -- Gary Morris ’61

Here's Carlos Amezcua '71 with his '66 VW at La Jolla Shores.  Click HERE to take another look at the Cars We Drove to School Page.

I misspoke when I suggested that the bridge in this photo was Highway 101.  It's Morena Blvd.  Click HERE to see the photo enlarged -- again.

This Howard Rozelle aerial looks east at the intersection of Highway 80 and Highway 101.  You can clearly see where Morena Boulevard crosses over Highway 80.  Click HERE to see it even more clearly.

Alan Osborn '64 previously shared this snapshot of Room 202 -- Mr. Ross' English class.  Click HERE to see an enlargement and a few names.

Quite a number of you had the same reaction to last week's Colt Clipping -- I can't believe they published their home addresses!  If you think THAT'S bad -- and I've mentioned this before -- articles about beauty pageant winners included their home addresses AND their measurements.  What could go wrong?
