moved -- or just have fond memories of San Diego in the '40s, '50s and '60s.

This took me back to Mrs. Bruner's English Class at Horace Mann.  I STILL get lay and lie mixed up.

I've added this photo of Larry Vansworth '64, taken outside Pleiku, Vietnam, to the Colts Who Served page.

This should be immediately recognizable as Torrey Pines State Beach, but the photo was taken in 1946 and the sailor was probably happy to be home from the war.  Click HERE for a larger view.

I STILL don't have a photo of the Oscar's on Menlo and El Cajon, but this gorgeous night shot of the Oscar's on Pacific Highway will have to do.  You can see it slightly enlarged, and look at some other stuff, on the Oscar's Page.

Click HERE to read the May 24, 1962 Pacer, from 60 years ago.  That's a photo of the 62-63 cheerleading squad on the front page.

The May 25, 1967 Pacer is a 6-page issue, two of which are devoted to the del Potrillo literary supplement.  Click HERE to check it out.  Guess what potrillo means in English?  (answer at the bottom of this post)

The Crawford Foundation reports the passing of Bruce Lamb '68 on April 17, 2022

Potrillo means Colt.  Perfect!!
